A Harvard Professor Just Hit Trump With The Hard Truth About Manafort’s Plea [DETAILS]

Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort plead guilty to federal charges on Friday in a deal that also includes cooperation with special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe.

Judge Amy Berman Jackson declared in court on Friday that Manafort has agreed to sit down for several interviews with Mueller and to testify in any upcoming while willingly providing any connected documents.

In accordance to the plea agreement filed in court, Friday Manafort must also cooperate “fully, truthfully, completely, and forthrightly” with the Justice Department in any matters that the government finds his insight to be worthy.

Manafort will also be forced to forfeit several properties alongside the current funds in his many bank accounts

I plead guilty,” Manafort stated to the judge quietly after answering several questions regarding his charges.

Manafort pleads guilty to one count of conspiracy against the United States alongside another count of conspiracy to obstruct justice by witness tampering.

The sentencing has Manafort facing between 210 to 262 months in prison for the crimes besides a fine of $40,000 to 400,000.

Following the proceedings, Manafort’s top lawyer Kevin Downing offered up a brief statement outside to the press outside the courthouse. He announced that his client had accepted responsibility.

“He wanted to make sure his family was able to remain safe and live a good life,” said Downing, who was swarmed by reporters and TV cameras. “He’s accepted responsibility, and this is for conduct that dates many years, and everybody should remember that.”

Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz upon hearing the news about Manafort claim that his guilty plea was a “big win” for Mueller’s investigation.

“I think from the point of view of Mueller, this is a big win, this is a big gain because he gets access to somebody,” he continued.
