Hollywood legend Harrison Ford called upon voters this week to stop electing those who deny scientific evidence and statistics.
The 76-year-old star also cautioned those in attendance that the “future of humanity was at stake” as a direct result of climate change.
“We are all — rich or poor, powerful or powerless — we will all suffer the effects of climate and ecosystem destruction,” Ford claimed. “And we are facing what is quickly becoming the greatest moral crisis of our time. Those least responsible will bear the greatest costs.”
He also called upon attendees to “shut off their phones, roll up their sleeves and kick this monster’s ass.”

Ford continued to say that the “greatest moral crisis of our time” was that “those least responsible will bear the greatest costs,” while stating that: “We are shit out of time.”
Ford, who is known for being a decade-spanning advocate for environmental causes, took a similar jab at leaders in Washington this past November during a fiery speech to the environmental group Conservation International in Culver City, California.
“We face an unprecedented moment in this country. Today’s greatest threat is not climate change, not pollution, not flood or fire,” Ford said at the time. “It’s that we’ve got people in charge of important shit who don’t believe in science.”
He also claimed in the speech that unless climate change is dealt with, “nothing else will matter.”
