Mike Pence Wants Joy Behar To Apologize For Mental Illness Comment

On Monday night, Vice President Mike Pence appeared on Fox News’ Sean Hannity’s show, where he urged “The View” co-host Joy Behar to apologize to the “tens of millions of Americans who were equally offended.” He’s referring to the comments that Behar made on live TV, in which she said that if Pence says he hears Jesus talking to him, it’s a sign of mental illness.

Pence said, “Look, but I said to Joy: ‘Of course, I forgive you.’ That’s part of my faith experience. But I did encourage her, and I’m still encouraging her, to use the forum of that program or some other public forum, to apologize to tens of millions of Americans who were equally offended.”

On February 13, on an episode of “The View,” co-host Sunny Hostin said, “I don’t know that I want my vice president, um — speaking in tongues and having Jesus speak to him.” To which Behar responded, “It’s one thing to talk to Jesus. It’s another thing when Jesus talks to you. That’s called mental illness, if I’m not correct. Hearing voices.”

Although it may not have been correct for Behar to have made those remarks, perhaps Pence took this opportunity to slam her, as the group of women on “The View” have had several opposing discussions about the Trump administration. They even hosted White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, where they told her they felt bad for her for having to defend all of Trump’s lies.
