JUST IN: Botswana Slams Trump With This Fiery Statement [DETAILS]

In response to President Trump’s racist remarks during an Oval Office meeting on Thursday wherein he referred to Haiti and some African nations as “s**tholes”, Botswana summoned their U.S. Ambassador to the nation to “express its displeasure at the alleged utterances”, adding that Trump’s remarks were “highly irresponsible, reprehensible and racist.”

The statement read, “The Botswana Government has also inquired from the U.S. Government through the Ambassador, to clarify if Botswana is regarded as a ‘s**thole’ country given that there are Botswana nationals residing in the U.S., and also that some of Botswana may wish to visit the U.S.”

The statement also questioned why Trump felt it necessary to “use this descriptor and derogatory word, when talking about countries with whom the U.S. has had cordial and mutually beneficial bilateral relations for so many years.”

Botswana’s statement comes after The Washington Post reported that Trump had made the racist comment during a meeting with lawmakers regarding immigration on Thursday.

Trump has since denied making the alleged racist comment, even though a couple sources have confirmed that he did. The White House released a statement condoning Trump’s racist remarks.
